The John Stewart Trophy pairs (Ladies & Gents) Sunday September 10. This event is a fourball with selected partners for Ladies and Gents. Entry forms are posted in the respective locker rooms. The club urgently requires some metal shelving units and metal cupboards for kitchen storage, if anyone can help out at a reasonable price or even better.... it would be greatly appreciated! More than willing to uplift and transport.
West Kilbride
To help maintain the high level of standard expected and to avoid any disappointment on the night, the club would ask all members book a table in advance for our Friday night suppers (by Thursday, if possible). A club statement reads; “We appreciate that some members may only decide on the day to come for supper and whilst very effort is made to provide a range of Specials on the night, it may not be possible to fulfil this for bookings not made in advance. We may also have visiting parties on a Friday so by making your table reservation as early as possible helps the Club provide and sustain a good level of service for all.
“Thank you for your co-operation and understanding. We welcome any comments you may have that helps us to continue to provide you with an excellent catering service.”
Due to the retirement of the club’s long term steward John, an opportunity for the position has arisen. See the club website for more details.

Skelmorlie Golf Club
Skelmorlie Golf Club’s Senior Open was cancelled on Thursday September 7th due to adverse weather.

A message on their Facebook page stated: " "We are sorry to say that, due to forecast adverse weather conditions and the current high level of water on the course, we will have to cancel the Skelmorlie Seniors Open. No alternative date has been set at this point but rescheduling options will be considered in due course. All players who have already paid, will have their entry fee returned.

"Once again, apologies we have had to take this decision and please pass the message on to any other players you may have intended to bring with you."
