Come and celebrate poetry at a special event happening at Largs library next week.
Although National Poetry Day is Thursday September 28, The Largs Writers and Largs Poem and Pints groups are hosting a poetry gathering on Saturday 30th September from 11am to 1pm to celebrate the event.
The group would like people to bring along poetry they've written or poetry of others they'd love to share.
There will be free tea, coffee and biscuits.
Largs Writers is a thriving group of professional, amateur, and hobby writers; all coming together to support, develop, promote and advance the creative writing of individual members within the community of Largs and the North Ayrshire Coast. It is affiliated with the Scottish Association of Writers
Their meetings take the form of workshops, visits from tutors, invited speakers, as well as other activities. Although some members are postal members only, around 20 people attend the meetings each week.
