Largs & District Past Presidents held their closing day for the "Jack Trophy" sponsored by David Rae Electrical on Sunday. Unfortunately due to the bad weather Largs Bowling Club were unable to host the game and subsequently at short notice the game was transferred to Halkshill indoor.
The match- Largs and District Past Presidents versus the kindred clubs resulted in a victory for the Past Presidents by 2 shots.
President of the Past Presidents Alastair Niven from Largs Bowling Club gave an excellent speech in which he thanked Largs Halkshill for providing the facilities, Halkshill Catering for the food and bar staff for preventing the guys from becoming dehydrated. He thanked all the past presidents for their support during his term of office and to the members from the kindred clubs for making the day such an enjoyable occasion. He thanked David Rae the sponsor of the Jack Trophy, and then closed the day by asking the Past Presidents to support Pat McCurdy of Skelmorlie Bowling Club the incoming President of the Past Presidents.
