Millport's September Weekend is the traditional family festival weekend which has been running for over 80 years on the island, and it certainly lived up to all expectations.
It was a busy weekend full of competitions for kids including story writing, mini Millport's Got Talent, and sandcastles, to name but a few.
As ever, the Saturday night fireworks display was sparkling, and proved to be a big hit with the crowds.
Island correspondent Mary Currie, who has been running the event for ten years, said: "It was a fantastic weekend, providing that Millport is a magical place to be, especially during the September weekend, with games, competitions, and the bonfire and illuminations. A lot of the flats, houses and shops participated in the illuminations, and I would like to thank everyone who donated raffles, gifts, and medals for the event."
