Team Fairlie are running the Great Glasgow Run Half Marathon on Sunday October 1 to raise vital funds for SEPSIS Trust in memory of Joe Scott who sadly died from this illness three years ago. 
Joe was well known in the village as a great guy, family man and all round gent. 
Team Fairlie, consists of Pam McCarthy, Janet Martin, Sandy Neillands, Christine Donaldson, Donna Ferguson and Kathryn Savage.
Sadly there are approximately 44,000 deaths per year affecting men, woman and children. Like so many illnesses funds are required to research further understanding and treatment of the condition.
Contributions will help the Sepsis Trust raise public awareness educate healthcare professionals in recognising early signs and help change the response to SEPSIS.
The trust also provide support groups for those affected by sepsis.
This is also Sepsis September where the Sepsis Trust are trying to promote awareness to the public and and medical staff. There are almost 44,000 deaths per year to Sepsis which is more than heart attacks and some cancers.
