The bus shelter on the A78 in Greenock Road was severely damaged on Monday evening.
The incident happened between 9pm and 10pm, and police tape has cordoned off the area from a safety perspective.
As we went to press, police were unavailable for comment in relation to the cause of the accident. More details next week.
