Star Trek actor Chris Pine is said to be filming at Portencross for Netfix serial 'Outlaw King' about Robert The Bruce on Monday.
Several medieval style tents have been erected on the field area between Hunterston and Portencross for the filming. The main entrance road to Portencross has been closed.
Meanwhile, filming has been continuing for David Walliam's children's adventure 'Granpa's Great Escape'.
The book is being adapted for BBC One and on air at Christmas 2017. The film will be written by Walliams and Kevin Cecil and star Tom Courtenay as Grandpa, Kit Connor as Jack, Jennifer Saunders as Miss Dandy with Samantha Spiro and Walliams as Jack's parents, Patricia and Barry.
Hunterston House is believed to be "Twilight Towers" care home in the adventure.
David Walliams has been seen filming for the show in the Stirling area during the past week, and was in London on Saturday evening at a James Bond Casino Royale screening complete with The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra providing the live score.
The production unit and caravans for 'Granpa's Great Escape' are based at the car park at Largs Yacht Haven.
