All sections of Largs Boys Brigade are on holiday on 20th due to school holiday but all activities i.e. football, badminton & band will restart from Monday October 23 at their usual times and venues. Thank you to all who attended our enrolment service recently on a very wet morning from all sections and to our pipe band for leading us back up the Main Street after the service in St. John's Church.

Four of our senior boys were presented with their President's Award during the service and will now start their work over the next two years toward their Queen's Badge. The boys are James Laird, Ruaridh Duff, Kyle Head, Innes Knox-McLean. Harry McGill was presented with his on the following Friday evening.

Last Saturday some boys from our Junior & Company Sections took part in the Battalion Chess Competition in Dreghorn with many medals coming to Largs. In Junior Section P4 Logan Brodie won Silver, P5 Ben Turner won Silver, and P6 Ruairi Herrington also won Silver with the full team of 14 boys finishing in 2nd place. In Company Section 6 boys took part with Finlay Herrington winning Gold in the Minors and Sean Fulton Bronze in the Seniors and again the whole team finished in 2nd place in the competition. well done to all who took part.

On Sunday 8th October our Staff & Pipe Band attended the 125th Anniversary Service for both Clark Memorial Church & 1st Largs Boys Brigade. Captain Lamont spoke about the origins of our Company to the present day and our Pipe Band played during the Service. The Staff then enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Church Hall along with Rev. Andrew McLellan and Rev. David Watson and many parishioners .
