This week Inverclyde Sports Centre had the pleasure of hosting Manchester United Under 23 squad as they prepared for a friendly game in Scotland.
After enjoying the top class facilities, Inverclyde wished them all the very best for the rest of the season, and were presented with an official Manchester United jersey.
Of course, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is very familiar with Inverclyde Sports Centre having obtained his coaching badges at the SFA training course.
And retired principal of Inverclyde, John Kent, recalls Mourinho's time well at the centre, and said it was a great sight to see Mourinho mixing well all age groups at the sport centre during his stay in the early 2000s, before going on to great success with Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
