P7 Residential Trip
Most of our P7 children are currently at Ardentinny Outdoor Centre, participating in many outdoor activities and having a very exciting time.
Halloween
All classes enjoyed Halloween activities and are very grateful to our Parent Council who provided treats and apples. Great fun was had by all.
Family Fun Night
Our P3 & P4 children and their families had a great night participating in games and events organise by Laurette Paxton and North Ayrshire’s Family Learning Team. This was a wonderful opportunity for children and parents across both campuses to get to know each other, while having fun.
Our next Family Fun Night is for P5 & P6 and will be held in the Kelburn campus on Thursday 23rd November from 6-8pm.
Parents Evening
Thank you to all who attended Parents Evening last week. There was almost a full turn out and lots of smiling faces!
We will hold another Parents Evening before we move to our new school in March. Between January and June we will be consulting with parents/carers, pupils and staff to look how we might improve on our current arrangements for reporting to parents.
Book Fair
Primary 6 pupils took part in Photography Workshops led by Phil and Christopher Lavery. Children found these practical sessions very interesting and thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
Athletics
This week, Mr Straw and Mrs Smith are taking our athletics team to a competition at The Portal in Irvine.
Gardening
We have been doing some gardening at Largs Primary (Kelburn campus) in the past few weeks and the children took part in a workshop making Kokedamas which is a Japanese moss ball. We used winter flowering Pansies and have decorated a metal fence in the school with them. Kelburn Campus is an RHS School Garden Campaign School.
