Beauty and the Beast, pantomime, Largs Players, Barrfields. Veteran actors such as Pat Nicol, Linda McMurray and Miles Schofield pop up with comedic and singing spots while the ‘young ones’ like Matt Carnegie and Andy Lambert play fun characters. Youngsters from the Youth Theatre make for a family feel to the Disney classic which will be staged over four shows from Thursday, December 7 to Saturday, December 9 (the 1.30pm matinee is already sold out).

5.30pm Vertex pop-up cinema, West Kilbride Village Hall ... Did you even wonder how Santa Claus came to be Santa? This fascinating and beautiful story gives you real insight in Santa Claus’ life: how it started and how he lives. Set in Lapland it’s unlike other Christmas film you will ever see. It’s full of unexpected and emotional scenes. It’s more than a story about Christmas. The film expresses hope, courage, love, passion and spreading of happiness in other people`s life. The kids will adore it!

5.30pm Millport Festive late night shopping event. It stars with a candlelight parade led by Santa at the Garrison.
Everyone will walk to Santa’s special grotto in Mapes Cycle Shop. Shops will be open for late night Christmas shopping, and will be serving festive treats.
6pm-8pm Inverkip Yuletide Night at The Hub ... Councillors speeches, Inverkip School Choir, music from mobile PA System, jingle bells, and Santa arrives with sweets for the kids.

10.30pm-2.30am The pop band Five are coming to the Fiddlers nightspot in Largs for an exclusive meet & greet and a 3 song set.
