There was heavy snow during commuting this morning affecting road users leaving Largs.
Public transport was also affected with Stagecoach 585 buses being delayed, although trains and ferries remaining running on schedule.
Glasgow Airport has recently reopened after heavy snow caused flights to be temporarily suspended.
A weather warning for snow remains in force until 3pm today.
McGill's Buses have suspended all of their Inverclyde services, while there has been severe traffic disruption on the A78 between Greenock and Inverkip, and the A737 Lochwinnoch-Howwood.
North Ayrshire Council say that due to heavy snowfall and concerns about getting service users in/out of units safely, Day Care will not be available in Largs today. Staff will be in touch to make sure service users have a meal. Visits from Day Care will take place where possible.
Inverclyde Sports Centre (see pic below) tweeted: "It’s a bit snowy in Largs today! Take care if you are planning on coming to the gym at the centre. We are open due to our fantastic estates team clearing the way."
