Road accident on A78 between Largs and Skelmorlie
The A78 between Largs and Skelmorlie was closed in both directions due an an earlier road traffic collision.
Reports on social media suggested that a car was on its roof, while the fire brigade were also spotted attending the scene.
At 5.48pm. Traffic Scotland tweeted that all lanes were restricted in both directions for up to 60 minutes, and police were in attendance.
At 7.08pm, Traffic Scotland tweeted all lanes restricted in both directions for up to 60 minutes have been cleared.
