Fairlie Village Hall will host an murder mystery theatre event with a twist next month in a link up with the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr.

In “Memento Mori” you can watch a professionally trained cast of suspects perform a high quality script, and then get your opportunity to interrogate each of them in turn to try to determine who the killer was, why they did it and how!

It is part of Fairlie Community Association’s involvement in the Ayr Gaiety’s ART Network (Ayrshire Rural Touring Network) project.

The aim of the project, funded by the Ayrshire LEADER, is to take live performances to small, rural venues, and Fairlie Village Hall is the only venue in North Ayrshire to have been included in the programme.

Elaine Campbell of Fairlie Community Association said, “We’re delighted to be involved with the Gaiety Theatre and the ART Network, and to be able to bring a fun, quirky event to Fairlie Village Hall. We have another play, “The Price Of A Fish Supper” coming in May, and we’re currently arranging events for the summer. And after their fabulous performance of “Barnaby Rudge” last October, we’ve got our fingers crossed for a return visit from the Northumberland Theatre Company towards the end of the year!”

Tickets for “Memento Mori” at Fairlie Village Hall on 16th February at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) are available from Fairlie Community Association, Tel 07958 048908; email fairliecommass@gmail.com.
