A Largs couple who met in the famous Moorings ballroom recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Seamill Hydro.
The paths of Bill McInnes and Christine MacSween crossed on the famous pierhead dancefloor in 1964, and romance blossomed.
After the Moorings, they continued to dance at another well known local ballroom at the Marine and Curlinghall Hotel, before getting married at St Peter's Scottish Episcopal Church, Dalry, in January 1968.

Christine attended Largs High School before completing a pre-nursing course at Irvine Royal Academy and then going on to train as a state registered nurse at the Western Infirmary Glasgow and Royal Gwent Hospital.
Over the next few years Christine worked in a variety of hospitals including the Western General Edinburgh, Cannisburn Hospital in Glasgow and finally ending up as deputy matron in a private hospital in Salisbury.
Bill left Dalry High School at age 15 and completed an electrical apprenticeship at Colvilles Steelworks in Glengarnock.
He trained as an industrial engineer with British Railways in Glasgow and Cardiff and after two years with the Scottish Development Agency in Edinburgh moved to the first of two jobs in private industry in 1977, reaching the position of MD with each company.
The couple have lived in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Chester and finally Hampshire before retiring to Drumnadrochit for 10 years in 2002, and moved to Largs in 2012.
Their hobbies include country dancing, zumba and walking, and keeping in touch with the family.
They have three daughters (Ann, Fay and Alexandra) and six grandchildren (Kelly, Daniel, Olivia, Cameron Heather and Hannah) living in Rutland, Bournemouth and Largs.
Asked for the secret behind a long marriage, Bill said: "If you have a difference of opinion give in right away. You won't win!"
And the retired Managing Director added: "No matter how hectic life can be don't let anything remove 'Your Relationship' from top of your To Do list. Marriage is the biggest, most serious and potentially the best project you will ever manage."
The whole family had a wonderful celebration at the Seamill Hydro on Saturday evening.
