7.30pm The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust are holding a fundraising night at the Largs Sailing Club. Local band The Fencebay band will be playing and the event will include a raffle and games to raise money for the trust.
7.30pm Ballet - Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock. Ballet West is delighted to return to Beacon Arts Centre with their brand-new production of Giselle ou Les Wilis.
The epitome of ballet romanticism, Giselle ou Les Wilis and tells the story of a peasant girl who dies of a broken heart after discovering her lover is betrothed to another. When The Wilis – a group of supernatural women who dance men to death – summon Giselle from her grave, they target her lover for death. Will Giselle’s great love frees him from their grasp?
With award-winning choreographer, Daniel F. Job, bringing his unique style to this romantic ballet, Giselle is a fascinating combination of exciting score, stunning classical dance and fiery drama.
