A family fun version of 'The Time Machine' is coming to the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock on Saturday March 3 at 4pm.

Can it be true?! Can man build such a machine that may speed along the dimension of time to the very end of the Earth?!

The Scientific Romance Theatre Company present the show which will mark 70 years since the death of the legendary science fiction writer HG Wells.

His famous novel 'The Time Machine' is now widely regarded as the first work of modern science fiction. A scientific romance, as he called it. A tale as much about class, wealth discrepancy, and man’s struggles against nature and fellow man, as it is about time travel; there seems no better moment to revisit this timeless classic!

Has mankind created a social utopia free from need, or does something sinister lurk below?

Created by a multi award-winning team of visual storytellers, this production combines bunraku style puppetry, melodramatic live action and a thrilling soundtrack, to create a fast-paced adaptation of the sci-fi classic.
