Largs Comic Con is coming to Barrfields Theatre on Saturday and will be bursting at the seams with colourful comic characters, and sci-fi heroes and villains, as the event is already an online sell-out.

Organisers have told the 'News' that they have been overwhelmed with the response, and say there will be a very limited amount of entry tickets throughout the day.

Comic-mania has been sweeping the country of late, as a series of Comic Con events celebrating comics, sci-fi and cosplay (costumer dress up) have been taking place all over Scotland. The Big Glasgow Comic Page has been spearheading the movement touring Glasgow and now making it’s debut in Largs after it’s huge debut in Kilmarnock in November. The event, organised by Big Glasgow Comic Page, takes place from 11am-5pm at The Vikingar. The day will see fans and cosplayers flock to the centre to browse 40 plus traders selling everything from comics, comic art, funko pops, action figures and collectibles. Kids under 10 go for free and there will be a free face painter, balloon twister and several superheroes and villains for photo opportunities.
