Largs and District Historical Society are having their monthly lecture at Largs Museum on Monday 19 March at 2.30pm
The lecturer is Jen Novotny of the University of Glasgow ("They don't want your charity, they demand their chance"; rehabilitating World War 1 wounded at Erskine Hospital' )
Dr Novotny's interests lie in the history of the health and well-being of military personnel and veterans, particularly during and after the first World War.
Erskine Hospital played an important role in the treatment and rehabilitation of service personnel and interesting information has come to light from archival research.
This will be a fascinating lecture of interest to a wider audience. All welcome. * PLEASE NOTE ALTERATION OF DATE OF AGM TO 4 JUNE.
