DEPUTY First Minister John Swinney has endorsed the heavily-criticised Largs Prom.
The prom has caused controversy, with locals putting the boot in over the quality of the surface.
But Mr Swinney enjoyed an early jog along it last Monday morning when staying at the Woodhouse Hotel and he gave it rave reviews afterwards.
Mr Swinney had been in town before heading off to the Convention of the Highland and Islands conference taking place on the Isle of Cumbrae.
