Controversial forestry proposals for the back hills of Largs are heading back out for consultation over the coming weeks.
Following the last consultation last year, the Halkshill and Blair Park proposed woodland creation scheme has been updated with environmental information, and these details will be publicly available from 21 March to 18 April at Largs Library.
In 2012/13 Halkshill and Blair Park farms were purchased with the intention of developing one of the largest commercial forests in the south of Scotland, with a view to developing a 6 square kilometre forest stretching from behind Largs to Mills Dairy on the Kilbirnie Road.
