AN HISTORIC old map of Largs has been unearthed which dates back to the early 1930s.
Claudio Nardini, co-owner of Nardini at the Moorings, found the map in his family belongings which gives a fascinating glimpse into the town's past.
It even shows an artist's illustration of the famous seafront restaurant before it was due to open in 1935.
Claudio, pictured with his wife Kyara, said: "It looks like it was an old postman's map, as he appears to have marked out his route.
"Nardini's was just about to open as it has the correct advertising prices of the period."
The map shows nothing further beyond Moorburn Road going east in terms of streets apart from the road leading to the old Hills Hotel, and farmland area.
