The Save the Gretas campaign are calling for 'freedom' for an important section of the back hills of Largs as a much loved community resource.
The pressure group are calling for the developers behind an ambitious new forestry project to protect the immediate back hill area to the town.
They are urging members of the public to get involved in the latest consultation before a major forestry project is launched for the hillscape surrounding Largs at Blair Park/Halkshill. The consultation finishes on 18 April.
Both Heather McCallum and Ian Dippie of Largs have arranged various high profile events to try and gain attention of the forestry project, and to try and make developers Tillhill Forestry, on behalf of owners Stakis, listen to the community concerns.
They have raised concerns about proposed planting on the top and front of the hill behind Largs and the plans for the Gogo valley and Greta Falls area.
