Geraldo’s drinks festival will return at the end of April with a new and improved event.

Whilst in previous years Geraldo’s has provided a gin infused night, this year they are expanding their horizons, offering a variety of artesian drinks including, whisky, rum cocktails and much more.

With over 200 guests expected, the night will run from 6pm to 10pm on Friday April 27 at the Brisbane House hotel, with over 60 drinks available to try.

Event organiser, Toni Dawson, said: “We’ve really taken on board what people said last year, which is a big reason why we decided to make it a drinks festival rather than just gin.

“The good thing is that the producers are all offering something different, so it gives people the opportunity to try something new.

“Gin drinkers can try different drinks and vice versa, the selection is there for everyone to experiment and maybe even find a new drink they never thought they would like.

“There really will be something for everyone.”

Toni added: “We have spent three months planning the event and we even have guest producers that will provide drinks we don’t feature in Geraldo’s.”

Four small masterclasses will take place throughout the night on a first come first served basis as there is only 20 places available on each class.

Customers will also be able to relax, drink in hand, listening to live music from The Classic Acoustic Songbook.

The duet was so well received last year that organisers have decided to move them in to the main room for everyone to enjoy.

Adding some quip to the event ‘Nippy Nora’, a 1920’s parlour maid, will also be in attendance, to serve up a variety of cocktails and banter to the customers.

The event will have 14 stands available for people to walk around and test the different drinks.

Producers include, Isle of Arran Distillery, Scottish gin distillery of the year, Arbikie gin, Benromach whiskey, Island slice rum and loads more.

Franklins tonic will provide a wide range of soft drinks for the event to allow customers to even experiment with their mixers.

Full sized bottles of all the drinks featured at the festival will be available to purchase from Geraldo’s during the evening.

Event organisers are also running a competition on Facebook to give people the chance to win four free tickets to the event.

Anyone who has already purchased a ticket can still enter the competition and if they win will be refunded the money. Tickets are available at www.geraldodrinksfest.eventbrite.co.uk
