Ayrshire Championship
West Kilbride took a major prize at the 2018 Ayrshire Junior Team Championship, held a Skelmorlie Golf Club on Sunday 22 April.
A total of 10 Ayrshire clubs took part in the event, which was played in damp and testing conditions.
 In the handicap event, the Andrew D Nimmo Trophy was won by the team of Scott Newman, Kyle McCaig, John Jack & Lyall Jack from West Kilbride with a team total of 205.
The best individual scratch score of the day, winning the Prestwick Circuits Trophy, was recorded by Euan Feguson (Turnberry) with a score of 69, whilst the Carrick Trophy for the best nett score of the competition was won by Lyall Jack (West Kilbride) with a nett 66.
The winner of the voucher in the 0-9 handicap category was Christopher Hunter (Ballochmyle) with a nett 66 whilst Max barclay (Turnberry) took the prize for the 10-28 handicap section with a nett 69. Prizes were presented to the prizewinners present, at the conclusion of the competition, by Ayrshire Golf Association President John Rushbury.
