IT was a case of better late than never as a Largs school delivered their toast to our national bard - three months late!

Largs Primary pupils had to hold back from staging their big annual Burns Supper celebration because of the move to the new campus in the town.

As ever it was a great night of poetry, verse, dance and old Scots language as the pupils enjoyed a fantastic celebration of all things Burns.

Highlights included Lara Connick singing 'Ae Fond Kiss; and Heather Harley performing the Immortal Memory.

Emma McLarty read an extract from Tam O Shanter while there was also a pipe band, Scottish country dancing, violins and violas and of course plenty of haggis.

A spokesperson for the school said: "It was a little later than usual, but everyone got into the spirit of things and made sure it was a great event.

"Rabbie would certainly have been proud!"
