THE owner of a local pub wants to put punters in the frame as he appeals for old photos to decorate its wall.
The Village Inn re-opened back in April and is taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
The bar area was commonly known as The Mudhook in years gone by, and is still known by that title.
Its owner Brian Flannigan has started gathering old pictures and hopes more customers will contribute.
Brian said: "It is a great idea to showcase these photos - it helps roll back the years and is very nostalgic.
"A number of photos have been kindly handed in already, but we have room for plenty more.
"There are pictures already including some of the locals getting involved in old party games, even including leg wrestling!
"There are plenty of familiar faces from the village, and it is well worth a look.
"Other pictures include some well remembered faces in the village including Iain Hamilton the road sweeper who was hugely respected, and much missed.
"A lot of people are really enjoying seeing if they can recognise themselves in the photo, and it is a nice thing to do while waiting for your food to be served.
"We have now ran out of pictures, but we want to fill up the whole corridor with more.
"We have a good few hundred there already and there is plenty of space for more."
The Village Inn is one of the longest serving pubs in the area, dating back to the 19th century.
It was based across from the former Fife shipyard.
Brian managed to restore a lot of the photos of Fife boats and put them back on display after they were taken away by the previous tenants last year.
He says he is keen to restore the community atmosphere in the pub and celebrate its yachting and sailing heritage.
Customers are welcome to pop in to enjoy the old photos and hand their own shots in.
