THE best of Ayrshire Bowling descended on Kay Park BC on Saturday to decide the 2018 Ayrshire Champions. 
A full morning and afternoon of play saw 10 trophies handed out to teams from across South, East and North Ayrshire. 
In the Blue Riband singles, it was Fairlie v Northfield and the game went right down to the wire with Gregg McAulay from Fairlie BC coming out on top over Colin Smith by 21 shots to 20. 
The other two singles events were more one-sided affairs with Ladeside of Kilbirnie's John Sproat Jr. taking the under 25s title back to North Ayrshire after he won 21-9 over Thomas Johnston from Maidens BC. 
And Ross Gouldstone from Troon Portland continued his impressive Ayrshire career to win the Under 16s title for the second year in a row after a 21-11 over George Roberston of Ochiltree. 
The pairs title is headed to West Netherton after James McAvoy Sr and James McAvoy Jr overcame Catrine's Stewart Reynolds and David Kerr by 18 shots to 16. 
Ayr Craigie's Eddie Harris, Ross Flannagan and John C Davidson took the triples title in style with a 17-8 win over Largs Halkshill and in the fours, it was another title for Troon Portland as the rink of Colin Doak, Colin Howie, Barry Nixon and Paul Foster MBE won by 17 shots to 10 against Cumnock. 
The senior titles were decided in the morning with Tommy Connelly from Annbank picking up the senior singles title after a 21-11 over Troon's Willie McCallum, the pairs title is at Catrine BC after John Edelberg and Alex Blackwood won 17-6 over Townholm's Fraser Craig and Willie Kerr. 
Triples glory went to Darvel BC after Ian Hamilton, Billy Scade and Andy McRoberts recorded a 15-12 over Kilwinning BC and the fours title went to Cumnock BC with Tom Cairney, Same Rowan, Willie McLatchie and Eddie Duncan winning by 19 shots to 11 over Largs BC. 
Congratulations to all the winners and the Ayrshire season will be completed on September 1st at Kay Park BC with the Mixed Pairs and Top Ten finals.
