Scotland's newest comedy musical will be presented at Barrfields Pavilion Theatre by Largs Players in the first week of October.
What makes the brand new 'First Footin'' extra special is that the local drama club commissioned professional playwright Viv Adam to come up with the script as a world premiere.
First Footin' is set around a Hogmanay party at the Baillies' hoose - and it could be Largs - when all sorts of characters gather for the traditional 'Bells' with music aplenty, thanks to a ceilidh band.
Players' Honorary President and experienced theatre director Maggie Kinloch is producing the show, alongside writer Viv and musical director Ryan Moir of Largs. In additional to well-known Scottish and pop songs from the 50s Ryan has written original material.
Hugh and Hazel Douglas will play the husband and wife characters, the Baillies, who run the party which the audience can participate in as they will be seated at tables in the auditorium, with seating also bookable in the balcony.
Such is the appeal of the show that the Saturday night tables are already booked with a ceilidh to follow for the final evening only. However, seating at tables can still be booked for the Thursday and Friday of the run of the show from October 4 to 6.
Tickets (£15) can be booked at www.largsplayers.co.uk or by phoning 03336663366
