SHOEBOX APPEAL

It’s that time of year again, when donations are being sought for the Blythswood Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Shoeboxes, wrapping paper and sellotape are needed, along with items to fill the boxes (e.g. hats, scarves, gloves, toiletries, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, stationery, toys and sweets). Leaflets with full details can be obtained from the church and the Village Hall, and information is also posted on the noticeboards. The items should be received at the church by 5th November, and all donations will be gratefully received. These shoeboxes are sent to various countries in Eastern Europe and Pakistan, to make Christmas special for children and adults who have very little. For information, call Ann on 568421.
