Fairlie Primary would like to say a massive thank you to Kelburn Country Centre for their kind donation of the lovely tree in the Assembly hall.

Nursery - Children’s new topic is ‘Dinosaur Christmas’. The children enjoyed the book ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas’ where they were able to talk about it and retell events from the story. Children have also enjoyed wrapping boxes to go under our Christmas tree.

P2/1 We have been working hard to rehearse for our Christmas show. We are all very excited about Christmas time and thoroughly enjoyed our school panto ‘Dick Whittington’. We are continuing to work hard with our Maths and Literacy.

P4/3 Our class are enjoying rehearsing for the Christmas show which takes place on Wednesday 21 December. We have also been learning about Christmas around the world. We had a STEM challenge to make a Christmas tree using 2 sheets of paper and 4 lollypop sticks.

P6/5 were fantastic in their singing performance at the lighting of the village tree. They continue to work very hard in the Christmas show rehearsals. Our literacy topic is ‘A Christmas Carol’ and the class have enjoyed listening to the story, reading parts and completing follow up tasks. As part of the social studies, we have been learning about Christmas in Holland.

P7 In Literacy, the class wrote a diary entry as one of Santa’s elves! Primary 7 are enjoying rehearsing for the Christmas show. The class made comic strips about Australian animals and visited Primary 2/1 to share their knowledge. In P.E, Primary 7 have had a visitor from KA Leisure who is practicing Athletics with them for their competition.
