Nursery we are learning ‘Twa- Legit Mice’ poem by JK Annand. We enjoyed a visit from the Zoolab and some children even held one of the creatures. We enjoyed re-enacting our very own ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’ in the Nursery field.

P2/1 We are continuing to enjoy learning our Scots words through stories and songs. We are sounding really good at our Scots verses. In Art we have been inspired by Andy Warhol to create our own Burns Pop Art while we have been exploring natural and man-made materials in Science.

P4/3 have been learning about Robert Burns and drew portraits of him. We also designed our own tartan by weaving. In Maths the triangles are learning about graph while the circles and squares are practising their tables.

P6/5 have been busy learning ‘To A Mouse' and ‘Scots Wha Hae’ and exploring the Scots vocabulary. In Science we have been investigating Earth’s Natural Resources and looking at the impact of Air Pollution. In Numeracy Primary 5 are working on fractions while P6 are learning about area.

P7 have been reading and analysing a range of Burns songs and poems. In Big Writing we wrote a poem about nonsense monsters using alliteration and personification. We have continued to learn about Scale in Maths and are getting prepared for our Athletics competition in two weeks!
