Church Guild

The next meeting of the Guild will be held on Tuesday, 7th February at 2.30pm. The Rev. Tom Bogle will be the speaker, and the intriguing title of his talk is "Weddings What I Have Done". All are welcome to go along and join with the Guild at any of their meetings.

Art Club

The Art Club is delighted to have Glasgow-born artist Ed Hunter coming along on Tuesday, 7th February at 7pm, to give a demonstration. He specialises in landscapes, seascapes and mountains in oils, and he has exhibited in the UK, USA, Germany, France and Russia. This is an open meeting and anyone interested in painting, especially landscapes, is very welcome to go along and take a friend. Cost is £3.

Trust

The ninth annual general meeting of Fairlie Community Trust is scheduled to take place in the Semple Centre, Main Road, Fairlie on Tuesday, 7th February at 7.30pm. Bowling Club

Members should note that the Ladies Annual Meeting will take place in the Clubhouse at 2pm on Sunday, 19th February. The AGM will be held the following week, at 2pm on Sunday, 26th February. Full attendance would be appreciated.

Yoga

General Yoga classes are held at Fairlie Parish Church on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9.45am to 11.15am. Drop-in and try a class – no experience is required and mats, belts and blocks are provided. Enquiries to Dai-An on 07855 989656 (Yoga Scotland Qualified Teacher).

Zumba

Zumba dance fitness classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am to 11am. Zumba is great fun, and you can put in as much (or as little!) energy as you want. Ballet

Toddlers

The Toddlers group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am to 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and young children under five (and a cuppa and chat for the accompanying adults). There’s a mix of mums, dads and grandparents, and everyone’s welcome. Just drop in and join them, or contact Kimberley on 07812 356664 if you have any queries.

Semple Singers

The Semple Centre Singers meet in the Semple Centre, Fairlie on Wednesdays from 11am to 12 noon to sing and enjoy a rich variety of songs. Pilates

Bill Lowrie’s Pilates class is in the Village Hall on Wednesdays from 1.45pm to 2.45pm. The class is suitable for all ages and all levels of experience, so why not drop in and breathe your way to improved posture, muscle tone and core strength during the routines. Youth Club

Fairlie Youth Club, which meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday evenings for ages 10 and over, is currently at full capacity. If you’d like to be added to the waiting list for when places become available, please contact Heidi on 568631.

Badminton

Fairlie Badminton Club play in the Village Hall on Thursdays from 8pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome – contact Eva on 568809 for more information.

Fairlie Village Hall can be hired for family parties, discos, fundraisers, meetings, classes, etc. There’s a large hall with stage and a small meeting room, and a PA system, urn, crockery, table linen, children’s games, etc. are available for lessees’ use.
