Fairlie Village Inn is set to re-open in the near future as a bar and grill.
Owner John Corrigan told the 'News' this week that there were new lessees at the historic bar and restaurant, and said he hoped that locals would support the venture.
He said: "It is the son of an Indian family who has run a number of successful bar and grills in the west of Scotland, and they also own the Argyll Hotel in Dunoon.
"It is good news for Fairlie."
Renovations are already underway at the much loved Bay Street premises, and to whet the appetite for its return, Fairlie Village Hall is hosting a Calcutta Cup weekend bar on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be fizzy drinks for children. Everyone welcome.
