Organic Growers

The Organic Growers of Fairlie are having an Easter Egg Hunt, trail and games, and welcome the community to join in the fun. Go along to the Fairlie Community Garden at the end of Pier Road on Saturday, 15th April from 2pm to 4pm. The event is free, and donations will be welcome. Messy Easter Picnic

Go along to the Messy Easter Picnic on Sunday, 16th April from 2pm at the Mound, south end of Fairlie. Roll your eggs, go on an Easter egg hunt, finishing with a picnic and games. All are welcome! If the weather is bad, go along to the Church. Please note that there will be no Messy Church on Saturday, 15th April.

Litter Pick

The annual Litter Pick began on 1st April, and will continue throughout the month. Litter pickers and bags have been provided by N.A.C. and are available from Ann Gregory on 568643. Once you have finished your collection, please take the bag home and put it in your black bin, or leave it beside the black street bins.

Art Club

The club will be holding a Saturday Workshop on 22nd April, when guest artist Nicole Stevenson will make a return visit. Places on this workshop need to be booked, so please contact Ann on 568421 if you’re interested.

Yoga

General Yoga classes are held at Fairlie Parish Church on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9.45am to 11.15am. Drop-in and try a class – no experience is required and mats, belts and blocks are provided. Enquiries to Dai-An on 07855 989656 (Yoga Scotland Qualified Teacher).

Snooker

The Semple Centre is open for playing snooker on Monday to Friday from 2pm to 4pm - if you are interested in playing, contact Bill Hastie on 568617 or Joe Brown on 568200.

Zumba

Zumba dance fitness classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am to 11am. Zumba is great fun, and you can put in as much (or as little!) energy as you want. Ballet

Ballet classes for youngsters aged 3+ years are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday afternoons. If interested, please contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or at fairliecommass@gmail.com for further details and application form.

Toddlers

The Toddlers group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am to 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and young children under five (and a cuppa and chat for the accompanying adults). There’s a mix of mums, dads and grandparents, and everyone’s welcome. Just drop in and join them, or contact Kimberley on 07812 356664 if you have any queries.

Semple Singers

The Semple Centre Singers meet in the Semple Centre, Fairlie on Wednesdays from 11am to 12 noon to sing and enjoy a rich variety of songs. Pilates

Bill Lowrie’s Pilates class is in the Village Hall on Wednesdays from 1.45pm to 2.45pm. The class is suitable for all ages and all levels of experience, so why not drop in and breathe your way to improved posture, muscle tone and core strength during the routines. Youth Club

Fairlie Youth Club, which meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday evenings for ages 10 and over, is currently at full capacity. If you’d like to be added to the waiting list for when places become available, please contact Heidi on 568631.

Badminton

Fairlie Badminton Club play in the Village Hall on Thursdays from 8pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome – contact Eva on 568809 for more information.

Bridge Club

Village Hall

Fairlie Village Hall can be hired for family parties, discos, fundraisers, meetings, classes, etc. There’s a large hall with stage and a small meeting room, and a PA system, urn, crockery, table linen, etc. are available for lessees’ use.
