Gala Parties
As their contribution to this year’s Gala, Fairlie Community Association will organise parties for Fairlie youngsters at the Village Hall on Friday, 18th August. A Fancy Dress party for 4-8 year olds will be followed by a Murder Mystery party for 9-16 year olds, with fun, games and prizes available at both! For full details, check out Fairlie Community Association’s website or Facebook page, or contact them on 07958 048908 or at fairliecommass@gmail.com.
Funding
Thanks to the Kelburn Wind Farm Community Fund Initiative Ltd., Fairlie Community Association is delighted to have been awarded funding towards the cost of a new audio-visual system for the Village Hall. The installation of wall-mounted speakers, a mixer amp, a screen and projector will be carried out over the summer, and will enhance the facilities in the Village Hall for the benefit of users.
Zumba
Zumba dance fitness classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 11am. Zumba is great fun, and you can put in as much (or as little!) energy as you want. There’s no need to book, just go along and pay at the door (£4) – all welcome! If you have any queries, contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or at fairliecommass@gmail.com.
Toddlers
The Toddlers group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am to 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and young children under five (and a cuppa and chat for the accompanying adults). There’s a mix of mums, dads and grandparents, and everyone’s welcome. Just drop in and join them, or contact Kimberley on 07812 356664 if you have any queries.
Village Hall
Fairlie Village Hall can be hired for family parties, discos, fundraisers, meetings, classes, etc. There’s a large hall with stage and a small meeting room, and a PA system, urn, crockery, table linen, etc. are available for lessees’ use. Contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or e-mail fairliecommass@gmail.com for details of availability and cost.
News Items
If you have an item for the Fairlie Notes, could you please let me have it before 9.30am on Thursday for inclusion the following week (568381 or ecampbell1111@gmail.com)
