A Conservative councillor has called for more action to deal with vandalism in the local area after a car was recently set ablaze on the old moor road between Fairlie and Dalry.
West Kilbride and Dalry councillor Todd Ferguson said: "Between this on Dalry Moor Road, Douglas Park, West Kilbride benches vandalism, and graffiti in Cumbrae it's time more action was taken on anti social behaviour in North Ayrshire.
"As a new member of Police Fire and Rescue committee I am absolutely appalled by the acts of a few degenerates who are ruining the experience of a gorgeous part of the world for the many law abiding citizens.
"The constant disregard for our local areas needs addressing."
