The traditional Fairlie Christmas tree lights on ceremony was a fun and festive affair.
As ever, there were some great performances from some of the young musicians at the primary school, and former councillor Richard Wilkinson, who has played a major role in village life through the church and the local Fairtrade group, turned on the tree lights, with the assistance of Martha Hill and Fraser Laurie.
It was also the annual presentation of the Fairlie Young Citizen of the Year awards which went to Nathan Noble.
Thanks to John Keachie for the photos.
