YOUTH CLUB
Fairlie Youth Club is currently looking for a new leader, and unfortunately it won't be able to restart unless someone is found. If you think you might be able to help, please contact Heidi Harrison (Tel 07985 332008 or email largslife@gmail.com) - Heidi was the previous Youth Club leader, and she’ll provide full details of what’s involved and answer any queries.
PASS IT ON WEEK
North Ayrshire Council have provided Fairlie Community Association with free ex-library books for Pass It On week from 10th to 18th March. Pick up a book, or books, from the Village Hall foyer, and “pass it on” once you’ve read it!
MESSY CHURCH
Messy Church will meet on 17th March from 4pm to 6pm in Fairlie Church, and the theme this month is "Challenges". There will be lots of fun activities, so go along with your family - all are welcome.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS
Fairlie Community Association will hold its Annual General Meeting in Fairlie Village Hall on Friday, 23rd March at 7pm. After the formal business is concluded, cheese and wine will be served. All welcome. Fairlie Fairtrade Initiative will hold their AGM on the evening of Saturday, 24th March - details of time and venue to follow next week.
COFFEE MORNING
The 1st Fairlie Brownies will be having their Annual Coffee Morning on Saturday, 24th March from 10am until 12 noon in the Fairlie Parish Church. The Church will be open from 2pm on Friday, 23rd March if anyone would like to make any donations of home baking, or prizes for the raffle or Bottle Stall. Tickets are priced £2, and will be available at the door.
VILLAGE HALL SURVEY
Fairlie Community Association would like your help! Please complete their survey and let them know what activities/events you'd like them to arrange at the Village Hall. They're happy to organise classes/activities on a trial basis to see if they take off if they can find instructors, so all suggestions will be very welcome! ZUMBA
Zumba dance fitness classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 11am. Zumba is great fun, and you can put in as much (or as little!) energy as you want. There’s no need to book, just go along and pay at the door (£4) – all welcome! If you have any queries, contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or at fairliecommass@gmail.com.
ART CLUB
Fairlie Art Club meets in the Village Hall on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm. New members are invited to go along and join them - anyone interested in drawing or painting, especially beginners, are welcome. For further information, contact Ann on 568421.
TODDLERS
The Toddlers group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am to 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and young children under five (and a cuppa and chat for the accompanying adults). There’s a mix of mums, dads and grandparents, and everyone’s welcome. Just drop in and join them, or contact Kimberley on 07812 356664 if you have any queries.
PILATES
Bill Lowrie’s Pilates class is in the Village Hall on Wednesdays from 1.45pm and 2.45pm. The class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and it’s pay at the door (£4). For more details, contact Bill Lowrie on 07769 624342.
BADMINTON
Fairlie Badminton Club plays in the Village Hall on Thursdays from 8pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome – contact Eva on 568809 for details.
VILLAGE HALL
Fairlie Village Hall can be hired for family parties, discos, fundraisers, meetings, classes, etc. There’s a large hall with stage and a small meeting room, and a PA system, urn, crockery, table linen, etc. are available for lessees’ use.
