Eight new jobs are being created at The Village Inn in Fairlie which is under new management.
The popular pub which which has been closed for the last six months is to get a new lease of life after it was taken over by new tenants.
The Village Inn bar and restaurant in Fairlie has been taken over by a family with substantial experience in the pub trade.
They describe the bar as a 'perfect' fit for them.
Brian Flannigan and Debbie Johnstone are in the process of giving the Bay Street premises a refurbishment, and want to take it back to its traditional roots.
Speaking to the 'News', Brian said: "We are looking at three new positions in the kitchen, and 4-5 new bar staff, and potentially it could be more depending on weekend and summer trade."
And Brian revealed that he has been talking to former owner Carol McDowell, who successfully ran the premises in the 1980s and 1990s for some additional inspiration.
He said: "One of the ideas we are looking at is having a photo with old photos of the staff and regulars at the Village Inn of yesteryear, and I think that would be a great idea.
"I have to say since Debbie and I and the family moved to Fairlie we have been given a warm welcome, and people are always popping by to say hello."
