A young party-goer who was leaving to get a bus home was subjected to a violent attack in Fairlie last Friday evening.
As the 16 year old boy was departing from the house in Kelburn Avenue in the village, it is alleged that the teen was headbutted and punched by an 18 year old youth who pulled up in a car. The attacker also shouted and swore at other party-goers, placing them in a state of fear and alarm, according to reports.
The victim had blood on his face and a cut to his right eyebrow. The 18 year old was conveyed to Saltcoats Police office and charged in relation to the offences.
