Stories behind some of the brave Inverkip soldiers who went to war have been revealed in a new booklet.
A total of 29 men listed on the Inverkip War Memorial feature in the new booklet, with all profits donated to Erskine veteran's charity.
The book includes a piece on Assistant Stewart John Blaikie of the Merchant Navy who perished at sea, having been on board the SS Gretavale in 1941.
The ship was attacked near Newfoundland, with the loss of 38 men. John was born in Inverkip in 1916, and the date of his death was 2 November.
