Inverkip Community Hub

The Centre is holding Open Days on the 21st and 22nd January from 1-5pm. This will be a chance to see what facilities are on offer on the premises.

Library

From the 23rd Inverkip Library will be open at the following times. Monday 3.30-7pm Tuesday 2-5pm Wednesday Closed Thursday 3.30-7pm Friday 2-5pm Saturday 10am-1pm Sunday Closed. Pilates Class Monday mornings 9.30am 2nd class 10.30am.

Beach Clean

Inverkip Church Eco Team were among the volunteers at the Beach Clean at Lunderston Bay at the weekend, 14th January. The litter was noted and the eventual total cleared was 25Kg.

Inverkip Woman’s Institute

The Institute met on Monday 16th when two of the members gave a demonstration of Microwave cookery. Sponge in 2 minutes and pineapple upside down cake also demonstrated was fish, vegetables and a parsley sauce. Vegetarian Curry and Apple Crumble also showed how quick things can be made using a microwave. The competition for a flask of soup: 1st Alison Masterson, 2nd Betty Howie and 3rd Margaret Anderson. The competition for Favourite Kitchen Times, result, 1st Beth Wallace and 2nd Betty Howie.

Inverkip Guild

The Guild is hosting a night with a Scottish Flavour on 24th January. There will be entertainment and visitors are most welcome. 7.30pm in the Bonomy Room of the Church Hall.

W.E.A

The meeting in Skelmorlie Community Centre on 1st February will be a talk by Ruby McCann entitled “The Tradition of Storytelling” The Meeting starts at 10am.

Skelmorlie, Wemyss Bay and Inverkip Fellowship

Meeting in Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church on 2nd February there will be a talk entitled “Press Talk” by Cameron Melville.

The Country Club

On 8th February the Country Club will have a talk by Comm. Keith Banks entitled “An army without Guns” The meeting in the Chartroom Kip Marina is at2.30pm

Road Closure

Work is being carried out on the A78 from the Bankfoot Roundabout to the Loch Thom Junction. This will entail closure at night and on a couple of days 26th and 27th between 6am and 8am.
