The ongoing police enquiry investigating the disappearance of Margaret Fleming has taken a new development on Thursday.
Detectives have now detained Ms Fleming's carers, BBC Scotland have reported.
Ms Fleming's disappearance was reported last November, but police said she had not been seen by anyone except Eddie Cairney, 75, and Avril Jones, 56, since 1999.
Police have carried out an extensive search of a five bedroom cottage in Inverkip, but no trace of Ms Fleming, who has a learning disability, was found.
