Police have seized quantities of drugs including class A and B substances in a Largs town centre property.

A man, aged 40, and a woman, aged 43, were arrested after a quantity of controlled drugs were seized from a flat in Main Street.

Police have thanked the local community for the intelligence information received which resulted in the arrests.

Both A and B class drugs were seized during the 10am raid last Thursday.

The substances have been sent for analysis, and believed to include cocaine.

Inspector Brian Skimming of Largs Police said: “As a result of information provided by the local community, officers obtained a search warrant for this property and made the recovery.

"Targeting the supply of illegal drugs is a priority for police and I would like to thank the community for their support."
