A brief power cut on Friday afternoon caused some disruption to Largs at tea-time on Friday.
Largs swimming pool had to close early for the evening after it caused a trip to their electrical system, while a number of residents reported the matter on Largs People facebook page and other social media outlets, with some reporting their power off for up to half an hour in some cases.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Power said: "The fault developed at around 5.17pm on Friday - it was mainly a case of flickering lights, and the voltage went down.
"The cause was a fault feeding from the Largs primary substation
"For most properties, the power wasn't off for any longer than two or three minutes.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
