Primaries 1, 2, 3 & 4 enjoyed showcasing our Scots poems and songs for parents at our Burns Assembly. All classes have been working together to research various aspects of castles and will be completing a STEM challenge to build their own working drawbridges.

P2 have been investigating symmetry in the environment around them and other real life contexts. They have also had opportunities to create symmetrical images using different materials.

P5 have been busy in Numeracy applying their measuring skills to calculate the perimeter of everyday objects. As part of their highland clearances topic they have been drawing charcoal sketches of blackhouses. We enjoyed performing at the Burns Assembly.

P6 had a technology filled afternoon making tunes by mixing water and electricity! They also got to control a BB2 and improved their coding, drawing and shape making skills all using the iPads! They thoroughly enjoyed their Burns Assembly.

P7 loved learning about owls when owl magic visited. Everyone got to hold one of the beautiful owls and stroke their soft feathers. They have now drawn their own owls using charcoal and chalk. The debates have begun with Harrison proposing that Donald Trump should not be president and Alicia, Aliyah and Nairne opposing the motion. After a heated debate Harrison won.
