This Saturday Greenock Philharmonic's Spring Concert takes place at The Lyle Kirk,  formerly Finnart St Paul's in Newark Street.
The evening will begin with a performance of Handel's rousing 'Zadok the Priest', whilst the main programme includes 'Beethoven's Mass in C Major' and Vaughan Williams ' Serenade to Music ' The choir are delighted that the Glasgow Chamber Orchestra will be accompanying them. During the first half, the orchestra will perform the beautiful and well known 'Hebrides Overture' ( Fingal's cave ) by Mendelssohn.
The choir are delighted to be joined by well known and accomplished soloists ; Alison McNeill - Soprano, Beth Taylor - Alto, James Slimmings - Tenor and John Arthur - Bass.
Tickets are priced at £10 and will be available at the door on entry.
