An A78 contraflow is causing delays in Largs with workers reporting up to 25 minute delays through the town, say Traffic Scotland.
Carriageway coring work is taking place outside The Meigle, between Largs and Skelmorlie.
There is ongoing work on the A78 in Irvine Road Largs as the new traffic lights are being built outside Douglas Park.
* The spring sunshine brought people out in their droves to Largs at the weekend, and the roads were busy.
The Haylie Brae down to Largs was 'backed up for miles' at 3.50pm on Sunday, according to Gryffe Roadwatch.
* Two way traffic signals will be in use in Largs town centre for roadworks on Thursday and Friday evenings.
The BT maintenance works will be taking place from 8pm until 6am each evening.
Carriageway coring works take place in Seamill on Tuesday, and in Inverkip on Wednesday.
