The new president of Largs Players is Pat Nicol who has been a prominent member of the drama club for 30 years.
Pat has succeeded Andrew Braniff who is pictured congratulating her at the recent AGM at the Woodhouse Hotel.
The club heard that, in its 86 years history, 2016 had been one of the most successful with a sell-out run of shows for the world premier staging of the new pop musical, Caledonia USA, written around the songs of Largs duo, Benny Gallagher and Graham Lyle.
The 23rd successive summer comedy theatre had also been profitable, plus the pantomime, Snow White.
The Players will be auditioning soon for their autumn production of the smash musical, Gypsy which will be staged in Barrfields Theatre in October, while the panto will, topically, be Beauty And The Beast.
The new vice-president of the club is Maggie Telfer with Linda McMurray as secretary, and Ian Sommerville succeeding Jon Wilkin as treasurer.
